Alfred Auerbach writes:

"...Stefan Siwinski, whose work has established him for years in the very front rank of contemporary Canadian furniture designers, is now gaining mounting recognition here and abroad as one of the foremost furniture designers of the century.

"He is a total purist in whose work form, function and structure must be inter-related in a perfect harmony to achieve the results to which he aspires.

"He has designed, revised, scrapped and redesigned a single chair for as many as six years before placing it on the market.

"He is a space-age designer, utilizing 20th Century techniques and 20th Century aesthetic ideology.

"He won the only two Awards of Excellence in the Canada-Design 1967 competition. He also won an Award of Excellence granted by the Government of Ontario for the best chair designed in 1967.

"His furniture was specified for use in the ultra-modern Toronto International Airport. Among his other clients in Canada have been General Motors, IBM and Union Carbide..."
